The scent of herbs fills the air as you tap a finger against your teacup. You feel the warmth on the other side of the porcelain and let out a sigh. The distant rumble of thunder echoes in the distance, and rain streaks against the window of your shop.
Ignoring the weather, you pick up a few stray books and organize them on the shelf, sliding the leather material against the wood. Back at your desk, you rummage through the ingredients set out before you. You brush them aside and turn to look at the elixirs before spotting the potion you’d been looking for. Rain patters against the ceiling, but your focus is entirely on your work, the hours drifting by like thunder clouds…
